The seven thin and ugly cows stand for seven years, and the seven thin heads of grain burned by the hot east wind stand for seven years of hunger.

No food has grown on the land for two years now, and there will be five more years without planting or harvest.

Plant early in the morning, and work until evening, because you don’t know if this or that will succeed. They might both do well.

Rain and snow fall from the sky and don’t return without watering the ground. They cause the plants to sprout and grow, making seeds for the farmer and bread for the people.

“Who is the wise and loyal servant that the master trusts to give the other servants their food at the right time?

God is the One who gives seed to the farmer and bread for food. He will give you all the seed you need and make it grow so there will be a great harvest from your goodness.
