“So let the king choose a man who is very wise and understanding and set him over the land of Egypt.
And let the king also appoint officers over the land, who should take one-fifth of all the food that is grown during the seven good years.
So the king said to Joseph, “God has shown you all this. There is no one as wise and understanding as you are, so
So, O king, please accept my advice. Stop sinning and do what is right. Stop doing wicked things and be kind to the poor. Then you might continue to be successful.”
So, brothers and sisters, choose seven of your own men who are good, full of the Spirit and full of wisdom. We will put them in charge of this work.
So choose some men from each tribe—wise men who have understanding and experience—and I will make them leaders over you.”
