They will not admire the sparkling streams or the rivers flowing with honey and cream.

But let everyone who trusts you be happy; let them sing glad songs forever. Protect those who love you and who are happy because of you.

Blow them away as smoke is driven away by the wind. As wax melts before a fire, let the wicked be destroyed before God.

But Jonah got up to run away from the Lord by going to Tarshish. He went to the city of Joppa, where he found a ship that was going to the city of Tarshish. Jonah paid for the trip and went aboard, planning to go to Tarshish to run away from the Lord.

This is true because if two or three people come together in my name, I am there with them.”

Then you will say, ‘We ate and drank with you, and you taught in the streets of our town.’

The Word was in the world, and the world was made by him, but the world did not know him.

All things were made by him, and nothing was made without him.

People everywhere are telling about the way you accepted us when we were there with you. They tell how you stopped worshiping idols and began serving the living and true God.
