Just before they arrived in Egypt, he said to his wife Sarai, “I know you are a very beautiful woman.

When Abram came to Egypt, the Egyptians saw that Sarai was very beautiful.

She was very pretty, a virgin; she had never had sexual relations with a man. She went down to the spring and filled her jar, then came back up.

His wife Rebekah was very beautiful, and the men of that place asked Isaac about her. Isaac said, “She is my sister,” because he was afraid to tell them she was his wife. He thought they might kill him so they could have her.

So Jacob had sexual relations with Rachel also, and Jacob loved Rachel more than Leah. Jacob worked for Laban for another seven years.

So Potiphar left Joseph in charge of everything he owned and was not concerned about anything except the food he ate. Now Joseph was well built and handsome.
