Do not lie to each other. You have left your old sinful life and the things you did before.

So you must stop telling lies. Tell each other the truth, because we all belong to each other in the same body.

The Lord hates those who tell lies but is pleased with those who keep their promises.

These are the things you should do: Tell each other the truth. In the courts judge with truth and complete fairness.

Keep me from lying and being dishonest. And don’t make me either rich or poor; just give me enough food for each day.

Truth will continue forever, but lies are only for a moment.

Your sin teaches your mouth what to say; you use words to trick others.

Then the old prophet said, “But I also am a prophet like you.” Then he told a lie. He said, “An angel from the Lord came to me and told me to bring you to my home. He said you should eat and drink with me.”
