Ishmael will be like a wild donkey. He will be against everyone, and everyone will be against him. He will attack all his brothers.”

And so the child grew up and became strong in spirit. John lived in the desert until the time when he came out to preach to Israel.

The little child grew and became strong. He was filled with wisdom, and God’s goodness was upon him.

The angel of the Lord appeared to Gideon and said, “The Lord is with you, mighty warrior!”
