Lot said, “Sirs, please come to my house and spend the night. There you can wash your feet, and then tomorrow you may continue your journey.” The angels answered, “No, we will spend the night in the city’s public square.”

I have taken off my garment and don’t want to put it on again. I have washed my feet and don’t want to get them dirty again.

Then David said to Uriah, “Go home and rest.” So Uriah left the palace, and the king sent a gift to him.

No stranger ever had to spend the night in the street, because I always let travelers stay in my home.

Don’t go to your neighbor’s house too often; too much of you will make him hate you.
