So all the work on the Meeting Tent was finished. The Israelites did everything just as the Lord had commanded Moses.

The Temple was finished during the eleventh year he was king, in the eighth month, the month of Bul. It was built exactly as it was planned. Solomon had spent seven years building it.

Huram also made bowls, shovels, and small bowls. So Huram finished all his work for King Solomon on the Temple of the Lord:

David said, “All these plans were written with the Lord guiding me. He helped me understand everything in the plans.”

They did just as the Lord commanded Moses and Aaron.

Be very careful to make them by the plan I showed you on the mountain.

the Meeting Tent, the Ark of the Agreement, the lid that covers the Ark, and everything in the Tent.

Then they tied this flat piece to the turban with a blue ribbon, as the Lord had commanded Moses.

Then they brought the Holy Tent to Moses: the Tent and all its furniture, hooks, frames, crossbars, posts, and bases;

Then the Lord said to Moses:

Put the Ark of the Agreement in it and hang the curtain in front of the Ark.

They washed themselves every time they entered the Meeting Tent and every time they went near the altar for burnt offerings, just as the Lord commanded Moses.

They were responsible for the Ark, the table, the lampstand, the altars, the tools of the Holy Place which they were to use, the curtain, and all the work connected with these items.

Teach them to obey everything that I have taught you, and I will be with you always, even until the end of this age.”

Be sure to do everything I have commanded you. Do not add anything to it, and do not take anything away from it.

Jesus was faithful to God as Moses was in God’s family.

The work they do as priests is only a copy and a shadow of what is in heaven. This is why God warned Moses when he was ready to build the Holy Tent: “Be very careful to make everything by the plan I showed you on the mountain.”

But Samuel answered, “What pleases the Lord more: burnt offerings and sacrifices or obedience to his voice? It is better to obey than to sacrifice. It is better to listen to God than to offer the fat of sheep.
