“If you see your enemy’s ox or donkey wandering away, you must return it to him.
If your enemy is hungry, feed him. If he is thirsty, give him a drink.
He might find something that had been lost and then lie about it. He might make a promise before the Lord about something and not mean it, or he might do some other sin.
But I say to you, love your enemies. Pray for those who hurt you.
Be sure that no one pays back wrong for wrong, but always try to do what is good for each other and for all people.
