Esther 5:3

The king asked, “What is it, Queen Esther? What do you want to ask me? I will give you as much as half of my kingdom.”

Bathsheba said, “I have one small thing to ask you. Please do not refuse me.” “Ask, mother,” the king answered. “I will not refuse you.”

While he was at Gibeon, the Lord appeared to him in a dream during the night. God said, “Ask for whatever you want me to give you.”

Then the king said to me, “What do you want?” First I prayed to the God of heaven.

Esther answered, “My king, if it pleases you, come today with Haman to a banquet that I have prepared for you.”

As they were drinking wine, the king said to Esther, “Now, what are you asking for? I will give it to you. What is it you want? I will give you as much as half of my kingdom.”

As they were drinking wine on the second day, the king asked Esther again, “What are you asking for? I will give it to you. What is it you want? I will give you as much as half of my kingdom.”

The king said to Queen Esther, “The Jewish people have killed and destroyed five hundred people in the palace at Susa, and they have also killed Haman’s ten sons. What have they done in the rest of the king’s empire! Now what else are you asking? I will do it! What else do you want? It will be done!”

He promised her, “Anything you ask for I will give to you—up to half of my kingdom.”

“What do you want me to do for you?” He said, “Lord, I want to see.”

The commander took the young man’s hand and led him to a place where they could be alone. He asked, “What do you want to tell me?”
