You have done this great thing because you said you would and because you wanted to, and you have let me know about it.

They give freely to the poor. The things they do are right and will continue forever. They will be given great honor.

The Lord is good to everyone; he is merciful to all he has made.

Good people take care of their animals, but even the kindest acts of the wicked are cruel.

The wise are patient; they will be honored if they ignore insults.

People want others to be loyal, so it is better to be poor than to be a liar.

Those who are right with God may die, but no one pays attention. Good people are taken away, but no one understands. Those who do right are being taken away from evil

Ebed-Melech the Cushite said to Jeremiah, “Put these old rags and worn-out clothes under your arms to be pads for the ropes.” So Jeremiah did as Ebed-Melech said.

You are God’s children whom he loves, so try to be like him.

We say they are happy because they did not give up. You have heard about Job’s patience, and you know the Lord’s purpose for him in the end. You know the Lord is full of mercy and is kind.

and to your service for God, add kindness for your brothers and sisters in Christ; and to this kindness, add love.

But if we confess our sins, he will forgive our sins, because we can trust God to do what is right. He will cleanse us from all the wrongs we have done.

I write to you, dear children, because your sins are forgiven through Christ.
