No harm comes to a good person, but an evil person’s life is full of trouble.

I do what is right and follow the path of justice.

Plant early in the morning, and work until evening, because you don’t know if this or that will succeed. They might both do well.

Now, everything has been heard, so I give my final advice: Honor God and obey his commands, because this is all people must do.

I know that everything God does will continue forever. People cannot add anything to what God has done, and they cannot take anything away from it. God does it this way to make people respect him.

Many useless promises are like so many dreams; they mean nothing. You should respect God.

Though a sinner might do a hundred evil things and might live a long time, I know it will be better for those who honor God.

I also know it will not go well for evil people, because they do not honor God. Like a shadow, they will not last.

“I will make an agreement with them that will last forever. I will never turn away from them; I will always do good to them. I will make them want to respect me so they will never turn away from me.

“But for you who honor me, goodness will shine on you like the sun, with healing in its rays. You will jump around, like well-fed calves.

God will show his mercy forever and ever to those who worship and serve him.

How terrible for you Pharisees! You give God one-tenth of even your mint, your rue, and every other plant in your garden. But you fail to be fair to others and to love God. These are the things you should do while continuing to do those other things.
