An evil person really earns nothing, but a good person will surely be rewarded.

Being kind to the poor is like lending to the Lord; he will reward you for what you have done.

Generous people will be blessed, because they share their food with the poor.

Plant early in the morning, and work until evening, because you don’t know if this or that will succeed. They might both do well.

There is a time to look for something and a time to stop looking for it. There is a time to keep things and a time to throw things away.

But you will be happy as you plant seeds near every stream and as you let your cattle and donkeys wander freely.

But a good leader plans to do good, and those good things make him a good leader.

Then in the fifth year, you may eat the fruit from the tree. The tree will then produce more fruit for you. I am the Lord your God.

If the people there welcome you, let your peace stay there. But if they don’t welcome you, take back the peace you wished for them.

Those who give one of these little ones a cup of cold water because they are my followers will truly get their reward.”

In the same way, the servant who had two bags invested them and earned two more.

“Then the King will answer, ‘I tell you the truth, anything you did for even the least of my people here, you also did for me.’

Then you will be blessed, because they have nothing and cannot pay you back. But you will be repaid when the good people rise from the dead.”

Remember this: The person who plants a little will have a small harvest, but the person who plants a lot will have a big harvest.

God is fair; he will not forget the work you did and the love you showed for him by helping his people. And he will remember that you are still helping them.
