When you came and stood at the bottom of the mountain, it blazed with fire that reached to the sky, and black clouds made it very dark.
He tore open the sky and came down with dark clouds under his feet.
After the earthquake, there was a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire. After the fire, there was a quiet, gentle sound.
He made darkness his covering, his shelter around him, surrounded by fog and clouds.
Thick, dark clouds surround him. His kingdom is built on what is right and fair.
And the Lord said to Moses, “I will come to you in a thick cloud and speak to you. The people will hear me speaking with you and will always trust you.” Then Moses told the Lord what the people had said.
The Lord spoke to you from the fire. You heard the sound of words, but you did not see him; there was only a voice.
When you heard the voice from the darkness, as the mountain was blazing with fire, all the leaders of your tribes and your elders came to me.
