Moses, the man of God, gave this blessing to the Israelites before he died.

When you prepare the tasty food that I love, bring it to me, and I will eat. Then I will bless you before I die.”

Then Jacob called his sons to him. He said, “Come here to me, and I will tell you what will happen to you in the future.

These are the twelve tribes of Israel, and this is what their father said to them. He gave each son the blessing that was right for him.

The Lord commanded a man of God from Judah to go to Bethel. When he arrived, Jeroboam was standing by the altar to offer a sacrifice.

Then the king said to the man of God, “Please pray to the Lord your God for me, and ask him to heal my arm.” So the man of God prayed to the Lord, and the king’s arm was healed, becoming as it was before.

Moses was the man of God, and his sons were counted as part of the tribe of Levi.

Solomon followed his father David’s instructions and chose the groups of priests for their service and the Levites to lead the praise and to help the priests do their daily work. And he chose the gatekeepers by their groups to serve at each gate, as David, the man of God, had commanded.

Lord, you have been our home since the beginning.

Then I brought them into the Temple of the Lord. We went into the room of the sons of Hanan son of Igdaliah, who was a man of God. The room was next to the one where the officers stay and above the room of Maaseiah son of Shallum, the doorkeeper in the Temple.

“I leave you peace; my peace I give you. I do not give it to you as the world does. So don’t let your hearts be troubled or afraid.

“I told you these things so that you can have peace in me. In this world you will have trouble, but be brave! I have defeated the world.”

But you, man of God, run away from all those things. Instead, live in the right way, serve God, have faith, love, patience, and gentleness.

Using the Scriptures, the person who serves God will be capable, having all that is needed to do every good work.

One day some men from the tribe of Judah went to Joshua at Gilgal. Among them was Caleb son of Jephunneh the Kenizzite. He said to Joshua, “You remember what the Lord said at Kadesh Barnea when he was speaking to the prophet Moses about you and me.

No prophecy ever came from what a person wanted to say, but people led by the Holy Spirit spoke words from God.

Then Manoah’s wife went to him and told him what had happened. She said, “A man from God came to me. He looked like an angel from God; his appearance was frightening. I didn’t ask him where he was from, and he didn’t tell me his name.

A man of God came to Eli and said, “This is what the Lord says: ‘I clearly showed myself to the family of your ancestor Aaron when they were slaves to the king of Egypt.
