Don’t be afraid of them, because the Lord your God will fight for you.”

God himself is with us as our ruler. His priests blow the trumpet to call us to war against you. Men of Israel, don’t fight against the Lord, the God of your ancestors, because you won’t succeed.”

He captured all these cities and their kings on one trip, because the Lord, the God of Israel, was fighting for Israel.

With his help, one Israelite could defeat a thousand, because the Lord your God fights for you, as he promised to do.
