Jehoshaphat lived in Jerusalem. He went out again to be with the people, from Beersheba to the mountains of Ephraim, and he turned them back to the Lord, the God of their ancestors.

This is what King Hezekiah did in Judah. He did what was good and right and obedient before the Lord his God.

Foreigners who have joined the Lord should not say, “The Lord will not accept me with his people.” The eunuch should not say, “Because I cannot have children, the Lord will not accept me.”

The soldiers asked John, “What about us? What should we do?” John said to them, “Don’t force people to give you money, and don’t lie about them. Be satisfied with the pay you get.”

If a man becomes unclean during the night, he must go outside the camp and not come back.

The great-grandchildren of these two peoples may come into the meeting to worship the Lord.

Don’t take any of the things that are to be destroyed as an offering to the Lord. If you take them and bring them into our camp, you yourselves will be destroyed, and you will bring trouble to all of Israel.

Then the Israelites went up to Bethel. There they sat down and cried to the Lord and fasted all day until evening. They also brought burnt offerings and fellowship offerings to the Lord.
