If you see a beautiful woman among the captives and are attracted to her, you may take her as your wife.

Shechem fell in love with Dinah, and he spoke kindly to her.

But Hamor talked to Dinah’s brothers and said, “My son Shechem is deeply in love with Dinah. Please let him marry her.

When the sons of God saw that these girls were beautiful, they married any of them they chose.

It is hard to find a good wife, because she is worth more than rubies.

Charm can fool you, and beauty can trick you, but a woman who respects the Lord should be praised.

Don’t desire her because she is beautiful. Don’t let her capture you by the way she looks at you.

But save for yourselves the girls who have not had sexual relations with a man.

When you go to war against your enemies, the Lord will help you defeat them so that you will take them captive.
