But, instead, I would encourage you, and my words would bring you relief.

Would he not argue strongly against me? No, he would really listen to me.

On the day I called to you, you answered me. You made me strong and brave.

Then a hand touched me and set me on my hands and knees. I was so afraid that I was shaking.

Then one who looked like a man touched my lips, so I opened my mouth and started to speak. I said to the one standing in front of me, “Master, I am upset and afraid because of what I saw in the vision. I feel helpless.

I, Daniel, saw this vision and tried to understand what it meant. In it I saw someone who looked like a man standing near me.

While Gabriel was speaking, I fell into a deep sleep with my face on the ground. Then he touched me and lifted me to my feet.

I have prayed that you will not lose your faith! Help your brothers be stronger when you come back to me.”

Then an angel from heaven appeared to him to strengthen him.

He stayed there for a while and then left and went through the regions of Galatia and Phrygia. He traveled from town to town in these regions, giving strength to all the followers.

I ask the Father in his great glory to give you the power to be strong inwardly through his Spirit.

I can do all things through Christ, because he gives me strength.

God will strengthen you with his own great power so that you will not give up when troubles come, but you will be patient.
