So the Lord said to Moses, “Take Joshua son of Nun, because my Spirit is in him. Put your hand on him,

When you bring the Levites before the Lord, the Israelites should put their hands on them.

He begged Jesus, saying again and again, “My daughter is dying. Please come and put your hands on her so she will be healed and will live.”

The apostles prayed, “Lord, you know the thoughts of everyone. Show us which one of these two you have chosen to do this work. Show us who should be an apostle in place of Judas, who turned away and went where he belongs.”

So after they fasted and prayed, they laid their hands on Barnabas and Saul and sent them out.

Then Paul laid his hands on them, and the Holy Spirit came upon them. They began speaking different languages and prophesying.

Then, when the two apostles began laying their hands on the people, they received the Holy Spirit.

Saul has seen a vision in which a man named Ananias comes to him and lays his hands on him. Then he is able to see again.”

So Ananias went to the house of Judas. He laid his hands on Saul and said, “Brother Saul, the Lord Jesus sent me. He is the one you saw on the road on your way here. He sent me so that you can see again and be filled with the Holy Spirit.”

Joshua son of Nun was then filled with wisdom, because Moses had put his hands on him. So the Israelites listened to Joshua, and they did what the Lord had commanded Moses.

Use the gift you have, which was given to you through prophecy when the group of elders laid their hands on you.

Think carefully before you lay your hands on anyone, and don’t share in the sins of others. Keep yourself pure.

This is why I remind you to keep using the gift God gave you when I laid my hands on you. Now let it grow, as a small flame grows into a fire.

We should not return to the teaching about baptisms, about laying on of hands, about the raising of the dead and eternal judgment.
