Acts 26:22

But God has helped me, and so I stand here today, telling all people, small and great, what I have seen. But I am saying only what Moses and the prophets said would happen—

On the twelfth day of the first month we left the Ahava Canal and started toward Jerusalem. Our God helped us and protected us from enemies and robbers along the way.

Our help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.

God gives me victory over my enemies and brings people under my rule.

You let our enemies walk on our heads. We went through fire and flood, but you brought us to a place with good things.

The Son of Man will die, just as the Scriptures say. But how terrible it will be for the person who hands the Son of Man over to be killed. It would be better for him if he had never been born.”

I have five brothers, and Lazarus could warn them so that they will not come to this place of pain.’

Then starting with what Moses and all the prophets had said about him, Jesus began to explain everything that had been written about himself in the Scriptures.

He said to them, “Remember when I was with you before? I said that everything written about me must happen—everything in the law of Moses, the books of the prophets, and the Psalms.”

He said to them, “It is written that the Christ would suffer and rise from the dead on the third day

The law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.

Philip found Nathanael and told him, “We have found the man that Moses wrote about in the law, and the prophets also wrote about him. He is Jesus, the son of Joseph, from Nazareth.”

You carefully study the Scriptures because you think they give you eternal life. They do in fact tell about me,

If you really believed Moses, you would believe me, because Moses wrote about me.

All the prophets say it is true that all who believe in Jesus will be forgiven of their sins through Jesus’ name.”

When they had done to him all that the Scriptures had said, they took him down from the cross and laid him in a tomb.

But I will tell you this: I worship the God of our ancestors as a follower of the Way of Jesus. The others say that the Way of Jesus is not the right way. But I believe everything that is taught in the law of Moses and that is written in the books of the Prophets.

I will keep you safe from your own people and also from the others. I am sending you to them

Now I am on trial because I hope for the promise that God made to our ancestors.

Paul and the people chose a day for a meeting and on that day many more of the Jews met with Paul at the place he was staying. He spoke to them all day long. Using the law of Moses and the prophets’ writings, he explained the kingdom of God, and he tried to persuade them to believe these things about Jesus.

But God has a way to make people right with him without the law, and he has now shown us that way which the law and the prophets told us about.

I passed on to you what I received, of which this was most important: that Christ died for our sins, as the Scriptures say;

that he was buried and was raised to life on the third day as the Scriptures say;

You know how I have been hurt and have suffered, as in Antioch, Iconium, and Lystra. I have suffered, but the Lord saved me from all those troubles.

The people of the world were angry, but your anger has come. The time has come to judge the dead, and to reward your servants the prophets and your holy people, all who respect you, great and small. The time has come to destroy those who destroy the earth!”

They sang the song of Moses, the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb: “You do great and wonderful things, Lord God Almighty. Everything the Lord does is right and true, King of the nations.

And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne. Then books were opened, and the book of life was opened. The dead were judged by what they had done, which was written in the books.

After this happened Samuel took a stone and set it up between Mizpah and Shen. He named the stone Ebenezer, saying, “The Lord has helped us to this point.”
