Those who are accusing me did not find me arguing with anyone in the Temple or stirring up the people in the synagogues or in the city.

You brought these men here, but they have not said anything evil against our goddess or stolen anything from her temple.

Pilate said to them, “Take him yourselves and judge him by your own law.” “But we are not allowed to put anyone to death,” the Jews answered.

But the officer Lysias came and used much force to take him from us.
