Those who give false praise to their neighbors are setting a trap for them.

Liars hate the people they hurt, and false praise can ruin others.

These people complain and blame others, doing the evil things they want to do. They brag about themselves, and they flatter others to get what they want.

They brag about the things they want. They bless the greedy but hate the Lord.

Five days later Ananias, the high priest, went to the city of Caesarea with some of the elders and a lawyer named Tertullus. They had come to make charges against Paul before the governor.

We accept these things always and in every place, and we are thankful for them.
