All the people in Ephesus—Jews and Greeks—learned about this and were filled with fear and gave great honor to the Lord Jesus.

We pray all this so that the name of our Lord Jesus Christ will have glory in you, and you will have glory in him. That glory comes from the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.

And now, brothers and sisters, pray for us that the Lord’s teaching will continue to spread quickly and that people will give honor to that teaching, just as happened with you.

I expect and hope that I will not fail Christ in anything but that I will have the courage now, as always, to show the greatness of Christ in my life here on earth, whether I live or die.

When the governor saw this, he believed because he was amazed at the teaching about the Lord.

The whole church and all the others who heard about these things were filled with fear.

When Ananias heard this, he fell down and died. Some young men came in, wrapped up his body, carried it out, and buried it. And everyone who heard about this was filled with fear.

Then they went to Ephesus, where Paul left Priscilla and Aquila. While Paul was there, he went into the synagogue and talked with the people.

None of the others dared to join them, but all the people respected them.

The apostles were doing many miracles and signs, and everyone felt great respect for God.

All the people were amazed and began praising God, saying, “A great prophet has come to us! God has come to help his people.”

All their neighbors became alarmed, and in all the mountains of Judea people continued talking about all these things.

Then everyone will fear God. They will tell what God has done, and they will learn from what he has done.

David was afraid of the Lord that day, and he said, “How can the Ark of the Lord come to me now?”

They said, “Who can stand before the Lord, this holy God? Whom will he strike next?”

Then Moses said to Aaron, “This is what the Lord was speaking about when he said, ‘I must be respected as holy by those who come near me; before all the people I must be given honor.’ ” So Aaron did not say anything about the death of his sons.

But as he left, he said, “I will come back to you again if God wants me to.” And so he sailed away from Ephesus.

While Apollos was in Corinth, Paul was visiting some places on the way to Ephesus. There he found some followers

Then the man who had the evil spirit jumped on them. Because he was so much stronger than all of them, they ran away from the house naked and hurt.

Many of the believers began to confess openly and tell all the evil things they had done.
