When the people and the leaders of the city heard these things, they became very upset.

If we let him continue doing these things, everyone will believe in him. Then the Romans will come and take away our Temple and our nation.”

When King Herod heard this, he was troubled, as were all the people in Jerusalem.

“When you are brought into the synagogues before the leaders and other powerful people, don’t worry about how to defend yourself or what to say.

Jason is keeping them in his house. All of them do things against the laws of Caesar, saying there is another king, called Jesus.”

They made Jason and the others put up a sum of money. Then they let the believers go free.
