Acts 16:33

At that hour of the night the jailer took Paul and Silas and washed their wounds. Then he and all his people were baptized immediately.

When people live so that they please the Lord, even their enemies will make peace with them.

They confessed their sins, and he baptized them in the Jordan River.

Jesus said to him, “Salvation has come to this house today, because this man also belongs to the family of Abraham.

She and all the people in her house were baptized. Then she invited us to her home, saying, “If you think I am truly a believer in the Lord, then come stay in my house.” And she persuaded us to stay with her.

Then Paul and Silas were thrown into jail, and the jailer was ordered to guard them carefully.

About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing songs to God as the other prisoners listened.

So Paul and Silas told the message of the Lord to the jailer and all the people in his house.

(I also baptized the family of Stephanas, but I do not remember that I baptized anyone else.)

My brothers and sisters, God called you to be free, but do not use your freedom as an excuse to do what pleases your sinful self. Serve each other with love.

When we are in Christ Jesus, it is not important if we are circumcised or not. The important thing is faith—the kind of faith that works through love.

And that water is like baptism that now saves you—not the washing of dirt from the body, but the promise made to God from a good conscience. And this is because Jesus Christ was raised from the dead.
