The Lord tests those who do right, but he hates the wicked and those who love to hurt others.

“They make the king happy with their wickedness; their rulers are glad with their lies.

but you hate good and love evil. You skin my people alive and tear the flesh off their bones.

These priests were pleased about this and promised to pay Judas money. So he watched for the best time to turn Jesus in.

Anyone who believes and is baptized will be saved, but anyone who does not believe will be punished.

Those who believe in the Son have eternal life, but those who do not obey the Son will never have life. God’s anger stays on them.”

They know God’s law says that those who live like this should die. But they themselves not only continue to do these evil things, they applaud others who do them.

Your love must be real. Hate what is evil, and hold on to what is good.

But other people are selfish. They refuse to follow truth and, instead, follow evil. God will give them his punishment and anger.

Love takes no pleasure in evil but rejoices over the truth.

I will punish those who do wrong; I will repay them. Soon their foot will slip, because their day of trouble is near, and their punishment will come quickly.”

God did not choose us to suffer his anger but to have salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ.

He will use every kind of evil to trick those who are lost. They will die, because they refused to love the truth. (If they loved the truth, they would be saved.)

Those false teachers only want your money, so they will use you by telling you lies. Their judgment spoken against them long ago is still coming, and their ruin is certain.

My dear friend, do not follow what is bad; follow what is good. The one who does good belongs to God. But the one who does evil has never known God.
