Why didn’t you obey the Lord? Why did you take the best things? Why did you do what the Lord said was wrong?”

This is what the Lord says: “For the many crimes of Judah, I will punish them. They rejected the teachings of the Lord and did not keep his commands; they followed the same gods as their ancestors had followed.

But if I see it doing evil by not obeying me, I will change my mind and not carry out my plans to do good for them.
