Naaman was commander of the army of the king of Aram. He was honored by his master, and he had much respect because the Lord used him to give victory to Aram. He was a mighty and brave man, but he had a skin disease.

There is no food in the city. So if we go into the city, we will die there. If we stay here, we will die. So let’s go to the Aramean camp. If they let us live, we will live. If they kill us, we die.”

The king was talking with Gehazi, the servant of the man of God. The king had said, “Please tell me all the great things Elisha has done.”

Why should you and your people die from war, hunger, or disease, as the Lord said would happen to those who do not serve the king of Babylon?

“Why are we just sitting here? Let’s get together! We have sinned against the Lord, so he has given us poisoned water to drink. Come, let’s run to the strong, walled cities. The Lord our God has decided that we must die, so let’s die there.

When the cloud lifted from the Tent and Aaron turned toward Miriam, she was as white as snow; she had a skin disease.

The Lord answered Moses, “If her father had spit in her face, she would have been shamed for seven days, so put her outside the camp for seven days. After that, she may come back.”
