Hezekiah did what the Lord said was right, just as his ancestor David had done.

Hezekiah was twenty-five years old when he became king, and he ruled twenty-nine years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name was Abijah daughter of Zechariah.

The Lord was with Jehoshaphat, because he lived as his ancestor David had lived when he first became king. Jehoshaphat did not ask for help from the Baal idols,

but from the God of his father. He obeyed God’s commands and did not live as the people of Israel lived.

He did what the Lord said was right, just as his father Amaziah had done.

Ahaz was twenty years old when he became king, and he ruled sixteen years in Jerusalem. Unlike his ancestor David, he did not do what the Lord said was right.

He did what the Lord said was right. He lived as his ancestor David had lived, and he did not stop doing what was right.
