When Rehoboam was sorry for what he had done, the Lord held his anger back and did not fully destroy Rehoboam. There was some good in Judah.

They said, “Ahaziah is a descendant of Jehoshaphat, and Jehoshaphat obeyed the Lord with all his heart.” No one in Ahaziah’s family had the power to take control of the kingdom of Judah.

Jotham became powerful, because he always obeyed the Lord his God.

Ezra had worked hard to know and obey the Teachings of the Lord and to teach his rules and commands to the Israelites.
