And after you suffer for a short time, God, who gives all grace, will make everything right. He will make you strong and support you and keep you from falling. He called you to share in his glory in Christ, a glory that will continue forever.

I am sad and tired. Make me strong again as you have promised.

Lord, even when I have trouble all around me, you will keep me alive. When my enemies are angry, you will reach down and save me by your power.

But, Lord, you are a God who shows mercy and is kind. You don’t become angry quickly. You have great love and faithfulness.

Lord, you are kind and forgiving and have great love for those who call to you.

I will make my people strong, and they will live as I say,” says the Lord.

“I will strengthen the people of Judah and save the people of Joseph. I will bring them back, because I care about them. It will be as though I had never left them, because I am the Lord their God, and I will answer them.

I have prayed that you will not lose your faith! Help your brothers be stronger when you come back to me.”

I pray that the God who gives hope will fill you with much joy and peace while you trust in him. Then your hope will overflow by the power of the Holy Spirit.

May the patience and encouragement that come from God allow you to live in harmony with each other the way Christ Jesus wants.

Glory to God who can make you strong in faith by the Good News that I tell people and by the message about Jesus Christ. The message about Christ is the secret that was hidden for long ages past but is now made known.

But before the two boys were born, God told Rebekah, “The older will serve the younger.” This was before the boys had done anything good or bad. God said this so that the one chosen would be chosen because of God’s own plan. He was chosen because he was the one God wanted to call, not because of anything he did.

and we are those people whom God called. He called us not from the Jews only but also from those who are not Jews.

I beg you, brothers and sisters, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ that all of you agree with each other and not be split into groups. I beg that you be completely joined together by having the same kind of thinking and the same purpose.

God, who has called you into fellowship with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord, is faithful.

Now, brothers and sisters, I say good-bye. Live in harmony. Do what I have asked you to do. Agree with each other, and live in peace. Then the God of love and peace will be with you.

We have small troubles for a while now, but they are helping us gain an eternal glory that is much greater than the troubles.

I can do all things through Christ, because he gives me strength.

Keep your roots deep in him and have your lives built on him. Be strong in the faith, just as you were taught, and always be thankful.

We encouraged you, we urged you, and we insisted that you live good lives for God, who calls you to his glorious kingdom.

God used the Good News that we preached to call you to be saved so you can share in the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

But the Lord is faithful and will give you strength and will protect you from the Evil One.

Fight the good fight of faith, grabbing hold of the life that continues forever. You were called to have that life when you confessed the good confession before many witnesses.

saved us and made us his holy people. That was not because of anything we did ourselves but because of God’s purpose and grace. That grace was given to us through Christ Jesus before time began,

So I patiently accept all these troubles so that those whom God has chosen can have the salvation that is in Christ Jesus. With that salvation comes glory that never ends.

For this reason Christ brings a new agreement from God to his people. Those who are called by God can now receive the blessings he has promised, blessings that will last forever. They can have those things because Christ died so that the people who lived under the first agreement could be set free from sin.

But be holy in all you do, just as God, the One who called you, is holy.

Each of you has received a gift to use to serve others. Be good servants of God’s various gifts of grace.

Anyone who speaks should speak words from God. Anyone who serves should serve with the strength God gives so that in everything God will be praised through Jesus Christ. Power and glory belong to him forever and ever. Amen.

Jesus has the power of God, by which he has given us everything we need to live and to serve God. We have these things because we know him. Jesus called us by his glory and goodness.

And this is what the Son promised to us—life forever.

God is strong and can help you not to fall. He can bring you before his glory without any wrong in you and can give you great joy.
