When David finished offering the whole burnt offerings and the fellowship offerings, he blessed the people in the name of the Lord All-Powerful.

“Now, Lord God, keep the promise forever that you made about my family and me, your servant. Do what you have said.

“Go and tell my servant David, ‘This is what the Lord says: Will you build a house for me to live in?

Praise the Lord, the God of Israel. He always was and always will be. All the people said “Amen” and praised the Lord.

He will build a house for me, and I will let his kingdom rule always.

Solomon will build a temple for worship to me. He will be my son, and I will be his father. I will make his kingdom strong; someone from his family will rule Israel forever.’ ”

David praised the Lord in front of all the people who were gathered. He said: “We praise you, Lord, God of our father Israel. We praise you forever and ever.

Then David said to all the people who were gathered, “Praise the Lord your God.” So they all praised the Lord, the God of their ancestors, and they bowed to the ground to give honor to the Lord and the king.

On the fourth day Jehoshaphat and his army met in the Valley of Beracah and praised the Lord. That is why that place has been called the Valley of Beracah to this day.
