I write to you, children, because you know the Father. I write to you, fathers, because you know the One who existed from the beginning. I write to you, young people, because you are strong; the teaching of God lives in you, and you have defeated the Evil One.

Let the teaching of Christ live in you richly. Use all wisdom to teach and instruct each other by singing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs with thankfulness in your hearts to God.

If you remain in me and follow my teachings, you can ask anything you want, and it will be given to you.

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his great power.

So Jesus said to the Jews who believed in him, “If you continue to obey my teaching, you are truly my followers.

His teaching does not live in you, because you don’t believe in the One the Father sent.

I was very happy when some brothers and sisters came and told me about the truth in your life and how you are following the way of truth.

We love you because of the truth that lives in us and will be with us forever.

This is the agreement I will make with the people of Israel at that time, says the Lord. I will put my teachings in their minds and write them on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people.

God will strengthen you with his own great power so that you will not give up when troubles come, but you will be patient.

You then, Timothy, my child, be strong in the grace we have in Christ Jesus.

I can do all things through Christ, because he gives me strength.

You have patience and have suffered troubles for my name and have not given up.

If we say we have not sinned, we make God a liar, and we do not accept God’s teaching.

I know you are Abraham’s children, but you want to kill me because you don’t accept my teaching.

We write you now about what has always existed, which we have heard, we have seen with our own eyes, we have looked at, and we have touched with our hands. We write to you about the Word that gives life.
