¶Lord, how many are Your works! In wisdom You have made them all; The earth is full of Your possessions.

I will give thanks to You, because I am awesomely and wonderfully made; Wonderful are Your works, And my soul knows it very well.

The fool has said in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, they have committed detestable acts; There is no one who does good.

Do not be like the horse or like the mule, which have no understanding, Whose trappings include bit and bridle to hold them in check, Otherwise they will not come near to you.

¶For he sees that even wise people die; The foolish and the stupid alike perish And leave their wealth to others.

Then I was stupid and ignorant; I was like an animal before You.

“I said to the boastful, ‘Do not boast,’ And to the wicked, ‘Do not lift up the horn;

¶Pay attention, you stupid ones among the people; And when will you understand, foolish ones?

“How long, you naive ones, will you love simplistic thinking? And how long will scoffers delight themselves in scoffing And fools hate knowledge?

¶Wisdom is too exalted for a fool, He does not open his mouth at the gate.

I am certainly more stupid than any man, And I do not have the understanding of a man;

“An ox knows its owner, And a donkey its master’s manger, But Israel does not know, My people do not understand.”

This also comes from the Lord of armies, Who has made His counsel wonderful and His wisdom great.

“For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways And My thoughts than your thoughts.

Every person is stupid, devoid of knowledge; Every goldsmith is put to shame by his idols, For his cast metal images are deceitful, And there is no breath in them.

great in counsel and mighty in deed, whose eyes are open to all the ways of the sons of mankind, giving to everyone according to his ways and according to the fruit of his deeds;

But God said to him, ‘You fool! This very night your soul is demanded of you; and as for all that you have prepared, who will own it now?’

But a natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned.
