I will not carry out My fierce anger; I will not destroy Ephraim again. For I am God and not a man, the Holy One in your midst, And I will not come in wrath.

¶But as for me, I will be on the watch for the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation. My God will hear me.

He will turn the hearts of the fathers back to their children and the hearts of the children to their fathers, so that I will not come and strike the land with complete destruction.”

You Samaritans worship what you do not know; we worship what we do know, because salvation is from the Jews.

Then they erected over him a large heap of stones that stands to this day, and the Lord turned from the fierceness of His anger. Therefore the name of that place has been called the Valley of Achor to this day.
