And I will abandon the remnant of My inheritance and hand them over to their enemies, and they will become as plunder and spoils to all their enemies,

Why do You stand far away, Lord? Why do You hide Yourself in times of trouble?

Know that the Lord Himself is God; It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; We are His people and the sheep of His pasture.

Smoke went up out of His nostrils, And fire from His mouth was devouring; Coals burned from it.

Why are you in despair, my soul? And why are you restless within me? Wait for God, for I will again praise Him For the help of His presence, my God.

¶I will say to God my rock, “Why have You forgotten me? Why do I go about mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?”

¶Yet You have rejected us and brought us to dishonor, And do not go out with our armies.

The Mighty One, God, the Lord, has spoken And summoned the earth, from the rising of the sun to its setting.

God, You have rejected us. You have broken us; You have been angry; restore us!

Have You Yourself not rejected us, God? And will You not go out with our armies, God?

¶Will the Lord reject forever? And will He never be favorable again?

Has His favor ceased forever? Has His promise come to an end forever?

Listen, my people, to my instruction; Incline your ears to the words of my mouth.

So we Your people and the sheep of Your pasture Will give thanks to You forever; To all generations we will tell of Your praise.

How long, Lord? Will You be angry forever? Will Your jealousy burn like fire?

You have fed them with the bread of tears, And You have made them drink tears in large measure.

Will You not revive us again, So that Your people may rejoice in You?

For He is our God, And we are the people of His pasture and the sheep of His hand. Today, if you will hear His voice,

Then Moses pleaded with the Lord his God, and said, “Lord, why does Your anger burn against Your people whom You have brought out from the land of Egypt with great power and with a mighty hand?

¶But now, Lord, You are our Father; We are the clay, and You our potter, And all of us are the work of Your hand.

“Woe to the shepherds who are causing the sheep of My pasture to perish and are scattering them!” declares the Lord.

This is what the Lord says: “If the heavens above can be measured And the foundations of the earth searched out below, Then I will also reject all the descendants of Israel For everything that they have done,” declares the Lord.

Unless You have utterly rejected us And are exceedingly angry with us.

“As for you, My sheep, the sheep of My pasture, you are mankind, and I am your God,” declares the Lord God.

“As I live,” declares the Lord God, “certainly, because My flock has become plunder, and My flock has become food for all the animals of the field for lack of a shepherd, and My shepherds did not search for My flock, but rather the shepherds fed themselves and did not feed My flock,

Do not be afraid, little flock, because your Father has chosen to give you the kingdom.

The Lord will not be willing to forgive him, but rather the anger of the Lord and His wrath will burn against that person, and every curse that is written in this book will lie upon him, and the Lord will wipe out his name from under heaven.
