¶God, do not be far from me; My God, hurry to my aid!
Why do You stand far away, Lord? Why do You hide Yourself in times of trouble?
¶Answer me quickly, Lord, my spirit fails; Do not hide Your face from me, Or I will be the same as those who go down to the pit.
¶Do not be far from me, for trouble is near; For there is no one to help.
¶But You, Lord, do not be far away; You who are my help, hurry to my assistance.
¶You have seen it, Lord, do not keep silent; Lord, do not be far from me.
¶Be pleased, Lord, to rescue me; Hurry, Lord, to help me.
Come near to my soul and redeem it; Ransom me because of my enemies!
But I am afflicted and needy; Hurry to me, God! You are my help and my savior; Lord, do not delay.
