¶My heart is steadfast, God, my heart is steadfast; I will sing, yes, I will sing praises!

¶He will not fear bad news; His heart is steadfast, trusting in the Lord.

The wicked have set a trap for me, Yet I have not wandered from Your precepts.

¶I said to the Lord, “You are my God; Listen, Lord, to the sound of my pleadings.

Keep me from the jaws of the trap which they have set for me, And from the snares of those who do wrong.

¶I sought the Lord and He answered me, And rescued me from all my fears.

For they hid their net for me without cause; Without cause they dug a pit for my soul.

His harm will return on his own head, And his violence will descend on the top of his own head.

Therefore glorify the Lord in the east, The name of the Lord, the God of Israel, In the coastlands of the sea.

And not only this, but we also celebrate in our tribulations, knowing that tribulation brings about perseverance;

always giving thanks for all things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to our God and Father;
