For strangers have risen against me And violent men have sought my life; They have not set God before them. Selah

I have set the Lord continually before me; Because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken.

May He send you help from the sanctuary, And support you from Zion!

For dogs have surrounded me; A band of evildoers has encompassed me; They pierced my hands and my feet.

Wrongdoing speaks to the ungodly within his heart; There is no fear of God before his eyes.

May those be ashamed and humiliated together Who seek my life to destroy it; May those be turned back and dishonored Who delight in my hurt.

Vindicate me, God, and plead my case against an ungodly nation; Save me from the deceitful and unjust person!

¶Have the workers of injustice no knowledge, Who eat up My people like they ate bread, And have not called upon God?

I have become estranged from my brothers, And a stranger to my mother’s sons.

¶God, arrogant men have risen up against me, And a gang of violent men have sought my life, And they have not set You before them.

These things they will do because they have not known the Father nor Me.
