Psalm 4:1

Answer me when I call, God of my righteousness! You have relieved me in my distress; Be gracious to me and hear my prayer.

“Then indeed, He induced you away from the mouth of distress, And instead of it, a broad place with no constraint; And your table was full of rich food.

For the Lord is righteous, He loves righteousness; The upright will see His face.

O Lord, I surely am Your slave, I am Your slave, the son of Your female slave, You have unfastened my restraints.

The Lord watches over the simple; I was brought low, and He saved me.

Turn to me and be gracious to me, As is right for those who love Your name.

And do not enter into judgment with Your servant, For no person living is righteous in Your sight.

As for me, You uphold me in my integrity, And You place me in Your presence forever.

As the deer pants for the water brooks, So my soul pants for You, God.

My heart is moved with a good theme; I address my verses to the King; My tongue is the pen of a ready writer.

Be gracious to me, God, for a man has trampled upon me; Fighting all day long he oppresses me.

Be gracious to me, God, be gracious to me, For my soul takes refuge in You; And in the shadow of Your wings I will take refuge Until destruction passes by.

Lord, do not rebuke me in Your anger, Nor discipline me in Your wrath.

God be gracious to us and bless us, And cause His face to shine upon us— Selah

God is known in Judah; His name is great in Israel.

“They will say of Me, ‘Only in the Lord are righteousness and strength.’ People will come to Him, And all who were angry at Him will be put to shame.

“In His days Judah will be saved, And Israel will live securely; And this is His name by which He will be called, ‘The Lord Our Righteousness.’

The Lord God is my strength, And He has made my feet like deer’s feet, And has me walk on my high places. For the choir director, on my stringed instruments.

But it is due to Him that you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification, and redemption,

who rescued us from so great a danger of death, and will rescue us, He on whom we have set our hope. And He will yet deliver us,

For we do not want you to be unaware, brothers and sisters, of our affliction which occurred in Asia, that we were burdened excessively, beyond our strength, so that we despaired even of life.

And David said, “The Lord who saved me from the paw of the lion and the paw of the bear, He will save me from the hand of this Philistine.” So Saul said to David, “Go, and may the Lord be with you.”
