Now David spoke the words of this song to the Lord on the day that the Lord had saved him from the hand of all his enemies and from the hand of Saul.

You are my hiding place and my shield; I wait for Your word.

Save me, Lord, from my enemies; I take refuge in You.

The ropes of Sheol surrounded me; The snares of death confronted me.

For on the day of trouble He will conceal me in His tabernacle; He will hide me in the secret place of His tent; He will lift me up on a rock.

You hide them in the secret place of Your presence from the conspiracies of mankind; You keep them secretly in a shelter from the strife of tongues.

The sorrows of the wicked are many, But the one who trusts in the Lord, goodness will surround him.
