If an army encamps against me, My heart will not fear; If war arises against me, In spite of this I am confident.

Stir Yourself, and awake to my right And to my cause, my God and my Lord.

Wake Yourself up, why do You sleep, Lord? Awake, do not reject us forever.

¶God, shatter their teeth in their mouth; Break out the fangs of the young lions, Lord.

You, Lord God of armies, the God of Israel, Awake to punish all the nations; Do not be gracious to any who deal treacherously in wrongdoing. Selah

¶Return, Lord, rescue my soul; Save me because of Your mercy.

¶Arise, Lord, in Your anger; Raise Yourself against the rage of my enemies, And stir Yourself for me; You have ordered judgment.

Why do You withdraw Your hand, even Your right hand? Extend it from Your chest and destroy them!

When God arose to judgment, To save all the humble of the earth. Selah

¶Awake, awake, put on strength, O arm of the Lord; Awake as in the days of old, the generations of long ago. Was it not You who cut Rahab in pieces, Who pierced the dragon?

Let him give his cheek to the one who is going to strike him; Let him be filled with shame.

“Woe to him who says to a piece of wood, ‘Awake!’ To a mute stone, ‘Arise!’ That is your teacher? Behold, it is overlaid with gold and silver, Yet there is no breath at all inside it.
