After these things the word of the Lord came to Abram in a vision, saying, “Do not fear, Abram, I am a shield to you; Your reward shall be very great.”

You are my hiding place and my shield; I wait for Your word.

On the day I called, You answered me; You made me bold with strength in my soul.

I call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised, And I am saved from my enemies.

“But as for Me, I have installed My King Upon Zion, My holy mountain.”

And now my head will be lifted up above my enemies around me, And I will offer sacrifices in His tent with shouts of joy; I will sing, yes, I will sing praises to the Lord.

The Lord is my strength and my shield; My heart trusts in Him, and I am helped; Therefore my heart triumphs, And with my song I shall thank Him.

¶I sought the Lord and He answered me, And rescued me from all my fears.

This wretched man cried out, and the Lord heard him, And saved him out of all his troubles.

¶Send out Your light and Your truth, they shall lead me; They shall bring me to Your holy hill And to Your dwelling places.

Call upon Me on the day of trouble; I will rescue you, and you will honor Me.”

Trust in Him at all times, you people; Pour out your hearts before Him; God is a refuge for us. Selah

Lord of armies, Blessed is the person who trusts in You!

¶Once You spoke in vision to Your godly ones, And said, “I have given help to one who is mighty; I have exalted one chosen from the people.

“He will call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will rescue him and honor him.

Exalt the Lord our God And worship at His holy hill, For the Lord our God is holy.

He stores up sound wisdom for the upright; He is a shield to those who walk in integrity,

It will also come to pass that before they call, I will answer; while they are still speaking, I will listen.

You have heard my voice, “Do not cover Your ear from my plea for relief, From my cry for help.”

“ Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.

Is anyone among you suffering? Then he must pray. Is anyone cheerful? He is to sing praises.
