¶For the king trusts in the Lord, And through the faithfulness of the Most High he will not be shaken.

¶But I have trusted in Your faithfulness; My heart shall rejoice in Your salvation.

I have set the Lord continually before me; Because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken.

The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my savior, My God, my rock, in whom I take refuge; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.

Vindicate me, Lord, for I have walked in my integrity, And I have trusted in the Lord without wavering.

¶Strap Your sword on Your thigh, Mighty One, In Your splendor and majesty!

Let me dwell in Your tent forever; Let me take refuge in the shelter of Your wings. Selah

May his name endure forever; May his name produce descendants as long as the sun shines; And may people wish blessings on themselves by him; May all nations call him blessed.

I will rejoice and be jubilant in You; I will sing praise to Your name, O Most High.

I will say to the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress, My God, in whom I trust!”

“And to Him was given dominion, Honor, and a kingdom, So that all the peoples, nations, and populations of all languages Might serve Him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion Which will not pass away; And His kingdom is one Which will not be destroyed.

He has trusted in God; let God rescue Him now, if He takes pleasure in Him; for He said, ‘I am the Son of God.’ ”

And again, “I will put My trust in Him.” And again, “Behold, I and the children whom God has given Me.”

Also, David was in great distress because the people spoke of stoning him, for all the people were embittered, each one because of his sons and his daughters. But David felt strengthened in the Lord his God.
