¶I will bless the Lord who has advised me; Indeed, my mind instructs me in the night.

My eyes anticipate the night watches, So that I may meditate on Your word.

Lord, I remember Your name in the night, And keep Your Law.

I will give thanks to You with uprightness of heart, When I learn Your righteous judgments.

You have put my heart to the test; You have visited me by night; You have sifted me and You find nothing; My intent is that my mouth will not offend.

My God, I cry out by day, but You do not answer; And by night, but I have no rest.

The Lord will send His goodness in the daytime; And His song will be with me in the night, A prayer to the God of my life.

¶When I remember You on my bed, I meditate on You in the night watches,

¶When my heart was embittered And I was pierced within,

You will guide me with Your plan, And afterward receive me to glory.

In the day of my trouble I sought the Lord; In the night my hand was stretched out and did not grow weary; My soul refused to be comforted.

I will remember my song in the night; I will meditate with my heart, And my spirit ponders:

“Advice is mine and sound wisdom; I am understanding, power is mine.

At night my soul longs for You, Indeed, my spirit within me seeks You diligently; For when the earth experiences Your judgments, The inhabitants of the world learn righteousness.

This is what the Lord says, He who is your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: “I am the Lord your God, who teaches you to benefit, Who leads you in the way you should go.

¶The Lord God has given Me the tongue of disciples, So that I may know how to sustain the weary one with a word. He awakens Me morning by morning, He awakens My ear to listen as a disciple.

You have planted them, they have also taken root; They grow, they have also produced fruit. You are near to their lips But far from their mind.

“I, the Lord, search the heart, I test the mind, To give to each person according to his ways, According to the results of his deeds.

Now it was at this time that He went off to the mountain to pray, and He spent the whole night in prayer with God.

And I will kill her children with plague, and all the churches will know that I am He who searches the minds and hearts; and I will give to each one of you according to your deeds.
