¶I said to the Lord, “You are my God; Listen, Lord, to the sound of my pleadings.
I love the Lord, because He hears My voice and my pleas.
¶The Lord is my portion; I have promised to keep Your words.
Lord, hear my voice! Let Your ears be attentive To the sound of my pleadings.
Look to the right and see; For there is no one who regards me favorably; There is no escape for me; No one cares for my soul.
¶I cried out to You, Lord; I said, “You are my refuge, My portion in the land of the living.
Hear my prayer, Lord, Listen to my pleadings! Answer me in Your faithfulness, in Your righteousness!
I said to the Lord, “You are my Lord; I have nothing good besides You.”
¶But as for me, I trust in You, Lord, I say, “You are my God.”
¶My heart is steadfast, God, my heart is steadfast; I will sing, yes, I will sing praises!
Hear my voice, God, in my complaint; Protect my life from dread of the enemy.
I will say to the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress, My God, in whom I trust!”
May a cry be heard from their houses When You suddenly bring raiders upon them; For they have dug a pit to capture me And hidden snares for my feet.
“The Lord is my portion,” says my soul, “Therefore I wait for Him.”
“And I will bring the third part through the fire, Refine them as silver is refined, And test them as gold is tested. They will call on My name, And I will answer them; I will say, ‘They are My people,’ And they will say, ‘The Lord is my God.’ ”
