Joseph saw the third generation of Ephraim’s sons; also the sons of Machir, the son of Manasseh, were born on Joseph’s knees.

Seven sons and three daughters were born to him.

“His sons are far from safety, They are also oppressed at the gate, And there is no one to save them.

The God who executes vengeance for me, And subdues peoples under me.

Be wise, my son, and make my heart glad, So that I may reply to one who taunts me.
