His heart is firm, he will not fear, But will look with satisfaction on his enemies.

Blessed is he whose help is the God of Jacob, Whose hope is in the Lord his God,

¶Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.

God is our refuge and strength, A very ready help in trouble.

The Lord of armies is with us; The God of Jacob is our stronghold. Selah

¶“I, I Myself, am He who comforts you. Who are you that you are afraid of mortal man, And of a son of man who is made like grass,

But the Lord is with me like a powerful champion; Therefore my persecutors will stumble and not prevail. They will be put to great shame because they have failed, An everlasting disgrace that will not be forgotten.

What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who is against us?

so that we confidently say, “The Lord is my helper, I will not be afraid. What will man do to me?”

When Saul and all Israel heard these words of the Philistine, they were dismayed and very fearful.

And David said, “The Lord who saved me from the paw of the lion and the paw of the bear, He will save me from the hand of this Philistine.” So Saul said to David, “Go, and may the Lord be with you.”
