And even when I am old and gray, God, do not abandon me, Until I declare Your strength to this generation, Your power to all who are to come.

Do not cast me away at the time of my old age; Do not abandon me when my strength fails.

A gray head is a crown of glory; It is found in the way of righteousness.

Even to your old age I will be the same, And even to your graying years I will carry you! I have done it, and I will bear you; And I will carry you and I will save you.

Therefore I urge you, brothers and sisters, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship.

Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making an appeal through us; we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.

And working together with Him, we also urge you not to receive the grace of God in vain—

For you are all sons and daughters of God through faith in Christ Jesus.

For this reason I, Paul, the prisoner of Christ Jesus for the sake of you Gentiles—

Therefore I, the prisoner of the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling with which you have been called,

for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in proclaiming it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.

I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has strengthened me, because He considered me faithful, putting me into service,

Older men are to be temperate, dignified, self-controlled, sound in faith, in love, in perseverance.

And I urge you all the more to do this, so that I may be restored to you more quickly.

Beloved, I urge you as foreigners and strangers to abstain from fleshly lusts, which wage war against the soul.

And when their fathers or their brothers come to complain to us, we shall say to them, ‘Give them to us voluntarily, because we did not take for each man of Benjamin a wife in battle, nor did you give them to them, otherwise you would now be guilty.’ ”
